Walking around the Westminster area, you could spot a very interestingly looking vintage shop called "Retromania". Many people are passing by this dilapidated building thinking about cheap and dull clothes looking like they have lost hope to survive. In this case, I hasten to surprise you - this shop is an exception.

Retromania has been established 15 years ago and is a part of a FARA Charity retail group. This company has opened over than 45 stores in the UK and Retromania is the only one that stands out. It would be a leading destination shopping for vintage lovers and fashionistas alike. All emporium of these historical pieces is donated from FARA charity and other charities among the whole London. Not only that it has a unique product range, but their prices are a lot higher than in ordinary charity shops. This is probably all because of the staff who work in this museum of antiqueness arent regular volunteers; they are more or less experts in the area of memorabilia. They will narrate you the whole long story of the product that you have chosen to purchase.

"It is delightful to see that people show such a heightened interest in our products because, with a new owner, they acquire a second life." - points out one of the members of staff.

The shop has a main floor with the changing rooms and a lot of vintage men/women clothes and mature houseware pieces of past century. On the basements which probably has the most beautiful pieces of avant-garde and retro clothing. By the structure, Retromania could be looking more like a boutique with the professional sales assistance, than a usual charity shop.

In this corner of Westminster, you would be able to see everything. Beginning with the Chanel collection from 80-es and ending with pence from 20-es. Once there even was a '20-s' - '40-s' jazz record collection donated by Laurence Olivier. Even though most of the products are more than 30-years old, they arent oddly smelling seconds. Retromania it is the antithesis of shabby shopping.

"Each item is carefully selected and of good quality. Some of our pieces, especially from iconic designers are flying away like pies!" - says Christian the manager.

This is an absolute gem of a vintage shop. If you are feeling leftover with your love to retro, then this place is just for you. Indulge yourself in this great store. It's a great experience.
